“Dreams” – Convos With My 2-Year-Old

I have never been one to put much stock in dreams. Some are good, some are bad, some are freaking weird.

As a kid, I remember one reoccurring dream and it always happened after we returned home from traveling. The specifics are irrelevant, but it always involved me in some world with HUGE pieces of luggage everywhere. The dreams were usually of the “bad” variety, and I would often wind up standing at the side of my parent’s bed, but isn’t that what parents are for?

I wonder if Isabel dreams now, and if so, what she is dreaming of? Food? Poop? Licking stuff? And since she doesn’t have language (or at least a comprehensible form of it), what is she dreaming in? Sounds? Images only?

I look forward to the day she is at my Mrs. FWL’s bedside, seeking comfort from a bad dream. But I wonder how she will explain it? Perhaps it will go a little something like this…
